Data controller

Launchr ApS, CVR number 46553837, Kaprifolievej 12, 8600 Silkeborg, Denmark, is the data controller for the personal data you give us in connection with your use of Launchr (launchr.dk).

Questions about this policy or the exercise of your rights should be sent to support@launchr.dk.

Which data we collect

When you use Launchr, we process the following types of data:

  • Account data: name, email address, agency or organization, role. Collected through our user management (Clerk) when signing up on the waitlist or when an account is created after an invitation.
  • Campaign data: brief text, campaign name, advertiser, delivery deadlines, contacts at broadcasters and media agencies. You enter this data into the Service yourself.
  • Material: video and audio master files that are transcoded and delivered to broadcasters through our integration. The files are stored on Cloudflare R2 (EU).
  • Participant and collaboration data: on productions we may process participants' signature and photo (talent release), phone numbers for the editor and the client for one-time-code login in Post-production, and their comments in the review loop. You enter this data yourself or it is collected as part of the production.
  • Activity data: which actions you take in the Service (uploads, deliveries, changes to campaigns), plus an audit trail on all deliveries. Used to keep track of your campaigns and as documentation.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and times of visits. Used to prevent misuse and improve the Service.

Purposes of the processing

We process your data in order to:

  • deliver the Service: from specs to confirmed delivery at each channel;
  • communicate with you about campaign status, errors and updates;
  • keep documentation of your deliveries (audit trail);
  • improve the Service on the basis of anonymized usage patterns;
  • meet legal obligations (for example bookkeeping).

Legal basis

The processing is based primarily on contract (our terms), legitimate interest (operating and improving the Service), and where required, consent (for example for marketing emails, which we do not send without explicit consent).

Where your data sits

All personal data and material is processed in the EU/EEA or in countries with an EU adequacy decision:

  • User management: Clerk (EU data processing agreement)
  • Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL in Zurich, Switzerland: EU adequacy)
  • File storage: Cloudflare R2 (EU)
  • Email delivery: Resend (EU)
  • Video and audio processing: Fly.io (Stockholm, Sweden)
  • Hosting + compute: Vercel (serverless functions in the EU/Stockholm + global edge cache)
  • Job orchestration: Inngest (USA, SCC)
  • Error monitoring: Sentry (EU region)
  • AI service (text): Anthropic (Claude). Spec text and draft delivery emails are sent to Anthropic for AI processing. This data is not used to train Anthropic's models, and is deleted at Anthropic after 30 days.
  • AI service (image + video): Google Gemini (storyboard images) + Google Veo (film generation in Akademi), Production only. Not used for training; EU residency + zero retention on Vertex AI.
  • Film rendering: AWS Lambda (Remotion, parallel rendering of Akademi films), EU region.
  • AI service (voice): ElevenLabs (voiceover + mask speak, Production only). Script text is sent in order to generate speech; not used for training.
  • Google Maps Platform: Geocoding + Street View (Production location feature only). Only address strings are sent; no personal data.
  • SMS delivery + phone login: Twilio (supplier SMS + one-time-code login for the editor and the client in Post-production, Production only). Phone numbers + message text.

Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the third parties that are necessary in order to deliver the Service, listed above. We do not sell your data and do not use it for marketing without your consent.

When you send delivery emails through Launchr, broadcasters or media owners receive the contact details and the material you have chosen to send. That is a necessary part of the Service.

How long we keep data

We keep your data for as long as you use the Service. When you delete your account, access to the data closes immediately. Permanent deletion happens at your request, and we confirm in writing once it is done. Data we are legally obliged to keep longer (for example accounting records, which are kept for 5 years) remains until that deadline has passed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access to which data we hold about you;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted ("the right to be forgotten");
  • have your data handed over in a common format;
  • object to the processing;
  • complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk).

Write to support@launchr.dk to exercise any of these rights. We reply within 30 days.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (encryption at rest with our data processors), access control based on user roles, an audit log on all changes, and regular technical audits of our systems.

Cookies

Necessary cookies. We set the technical cookies required for the Service to work and to be secure, for example your login session. They do not require consent, and they cannot be turned off without the site ceasing to work.

Statistics, only if you say yes. We use Google Analytics to see how launchr.dk and launchrpost.com are used, so that we can make them better. That sets cookies from Google. We load them only after you have clicked yes in the banner at the bottom of the page. If you say no, or do nothing, no statistics cookies are set, and everything on the site works exactly as before.

Technically this is enforced with Google's Consent Mode, where all consent signals are set to denied from the first line of code and only change when you click. Without consent, Google receives only cookieless, aggregated signals that cannot be linked to you as a person.

You can always change your mind. Click Cookies at the bottom of the page and the choice comes back up. We do not use cookies for advertising on our own surfaces and we do not resell any data.

Changes to the policy

We can update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes are notified by email to registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. The most recently updated version is always available on this page.
